In these difficult times, using the power of our voices and our bodies to fight for what we believe in is more important than ever.
Join Greenpeace for a 1-day training on the best practices of nonviolent direct action. Included content: the history and philosophy of nonviolence, centering exercises to help de-escalate a situation, and an introduction to Greenpeace's work to resist fossil fuels and create a clean energy future. This event is part of Break Free - a global wave of people resisting the stranglehold of the fossil fuel industry and calling for a just transition to 100% renewable energy.
This 1-day training will be offered twice: once on Saturday March 25th, and repeated on Sunday March 26th to accommodate as many people as possible.
The training will take place on Saturday March 25th from 9am - 5pm and on Sunday March 26th from 1pm - 7pm.
Light breakfast, lunch, and snacks will be provided.
$10 requested donation to help cover cost of materials, space rental, and food. No one turned away for lack of funds.
